Several photos deserve an explanation. As you look through the gallery, look out for the following photos.

  1. Jane Stockel welcoming the entrants at the Scottish Arms Pub. Jane standing on the red tartan carpet.

  2. Jane Stockel seated in the very same aircraft seat onboard the Royal Navy DC3 aircraft as used by the late Queen Elizabeth II on her 1954 Australian tour. Jane looks perfectly at home!

  3. Peter Stockel standing in front of DC3 VH AES ‘Hawdon’, the actual aircraft he piloted for TAA in the 1950’s.

  4. Guest speaker at the Briars Dinner, Robert Raftery recited some of his renowned poetry. Robert with a microphone.(www.robertraftery.com.au)

  5. Tony Strachan standing beside his magnificently restored Rolls Royce 20. Tony owned this very car from 1961 to 1964, touring Europe extensively. About 5 years ago, Tony found it for sale in the US and, overcome by nostalgia, he bought it back. Tony’s exploits in this car will be published in ‘The Vintage Car’

As always, the best way to view the photographs is to click an image to enlarge it and then click on the arrows to go through the entire collection.
